Built for Ghana,
from across the world.
StudyPlugHub Ghana is a free, AI-powered learning platform built around the NaCCA curriculum — for every Ghanaian student, teacher, and family.
Why Ghana
Ghana is where this story begins. The free SHS policy opened the classroom door to every Ghanaian child — and behind that door, students, teachers, and families have been working hard with less than they need.
Teachers are overworked. Class sizes are large. WASSCE prep is relentless. Parents want to support their children but don’t always have the tools. And while Ghana has world-class educational frameworks — NaCCA, GES, the Ministry of Education — there are still gaps between what the curriculum promises and what learners can practically reach.
StudyPlugHub Ghana exists to close those gaps. Built around the curriculum teachers actually teach, the exams students actually sit, and the cultural context families actually live in.
Akwaaba 🇬🇭
“My name is Derick. I work as an NDIS Team Leader in Geelong, Australia by day, and I build StudyPlugHub by night.
I’m Ghanaian. My two AI personas — Frema and Berur — carry the names of my children.
I built this because I wanted every Ghanaian student to have the tutor I wish I’d had at their age, and every Ghanaian teacher to have the breathing room they deserve.
From running warehouses in Tema, to leading disability support teams in Australia, to building this — the through-line has always been the same.
This is a one-person project for now. But it’s built for many.”
What we’ve built so far
Honest milestones. No inflation. What you see is what Ghanaian students and teachers can use today.
39 SHS subjects shipped
The full Ghana SHS atlas: all 37 NaCCA 2023 core subjects plus Spanish and Arabic foreign languages. Sprint G+3 EXTENSION (May 2026) closed the SHS pathway.
100% JSS coverage
Every subject in the Junior Secondary School curriculum, aligned to NaCCA Common Core Programme.
WASSCE-anchored
Every applicable SHS subject anchored to 2024 WASSCE past papers and WAEC Chief Examiners’ Reports. First-cohort subjects (new NaCCA 2023 electives) anchored to NaCCA itself ahead of their first WASSCE sittings.
Study offline
The platform works offline as a PWA — once content is loaded, students keep studying with no data, smoke-tested on a real phone in airplane mode. The AI tutor still needs a connection; offline covers loaded material, not live AI.
1,500+ NaCCA Learning Indicators
Curriculum data grounded in NaCCA September 2023. Every claim is traceable to a Learning Indicator.
Foreign languages added
Spanish (UG + UniMAC anchored) and Arabic (Tyjiamiya SHS + UG + Al-Faruq College anchored, with legacy WASSCE Arabic 2 paper history). Both shipped May 2026.
Free for every Ghanaian family
No card. No subscription. No premium tier. The platform is free for individual students, teachers, and parents — always.
Higher education welcome
Tools designed to support university students, polytechnic learners, and lecturers — for research, writing, and study support.
Some subjects are richer in pedagogical exemplars than others. We’re thickening the thinner ones month by month. We’ll always tell you which is which.
What we believe
Learn it. Don’t fake it. isn’t a slogan. It’s the rule we hold ourselves to.
AI that teaches students to think, not think for them.
Frema and Berur use Socratic prompts. They guide. They don’t just answer. A student who finishes a session should be smarter, not just done.
Free, always, for every Ghanaian family.
No subscription. No paywalled chapters. No data harvesting for ads. Free isn’t a marketing campaign — it’s the architecture.
Culturally grounded.
Akwaaba, Sankofa, kenkey, Cape Coast Castle, Tema Oil Refinery, Auntie Ama from Koforidua. We use Ghana’s own examples to teach Ghana’s own curriculum.
Locally built, locally serving, locally accountable.
Built by a Ghanaian. Serving Ghanaians. Open to feedback from Ghanaians. We don’t pretend to know what we don’t.
Privacy-respecting.
Your child’s learning data is not for sale. We don’t sell to advertisers. We don’t profile children.
Open to partnership.
NaCCA, GES, the Ministry of Education, schools, parents’ associations, forward-thinking institutions — we’re built to work with you.
What’s next
The honest roadmap. No vapor. No vague “coming soon” that never arrives.
- 1
TVET pathway: Technical and Vocational secondary
Ghana’s parallel secondary pathway — CTVET, the NVTI network, GES technical institutes (Accra Technical, Kumasi Technical, Tema Technical, Asuansi, and others). The work for Ghana’s vocational learners begins next.
- 2
Thicken pedagogical depth across every subject
Some subjects shipped lean. We’re going back, subject by subject, adding pedagogical exemplars, additional WASSCE-anchored questions, and richer Ghanaian context.
- 3
Local language support
Twi, Ga, Ewe. So a student can think in the language they think in, and learn in the language they sit exams in.
- 4
Pursuing alignment with NaCCA and GES
Open partnership conversations, in good faith, with the institutions that shape Ghanaian education.
- 5
Pan-African expansion
Ghana is the flagship and complete. South Africa (mainstream CAPS/NSC) and Nigeria (WAEC/NECO SSS) are now built out too. Kenya is the active frontier — covered across both the legacy 8-4-4 KCSE system and the newly-launched CBE Senior School (rolled out January 2026 for 1.2 million learners across STEM, Social Sciences, and Arts & Sports Science pathways), with depth work ongoing.
